- Met Paul McCartney at the Daily Star Awards ceremony. They didn't get a chance to talk. However, Paul was touched by Heather's speech and contacted her. It had been a year since his first wife, Linda McCartney, had died. By the end of 1999, Paul and Heather were a couple. In March of 2000, they announced that they were a couple after months of secrecy. In July of 2001, Paul proposed to her while on a holiday.
- On August 8, 1993, she walked across the street and was hit by a police motorcycle. She injured her pelvis, punctured her lung, and lost her left lower leg (below the knee). She is helping others who have lost their arms and legs so that they can enjoy life again
- Worked as a model before and after she lost her lower half leg. Then she became an human activist and is presently involved in a campaign to get rid of landmines with her husband.
