I've been wondering what it is about Ken Paves that makes him such a hot commodity among Hollywood's leading ladies. Like, is it just his personality or does he actually have a special touch?

Today I got my answer when these new photos came in and I realized: Eva Longoria has effing amazing hair. Jessica Simpson, Ken's first celebrity client - her hair ain't bad either. And Lindsay Lohan's blonde extensions looked the least horrifically fake when Ken Paves did them.

So it turns out Ken is more than just a really good stand-in therapist!

Because let's be honest, if you are cutting a celebrity's hair ... you are talking about her...and her life...and her "problems"... and reminding her that she is God's gift to entertainment.

Why sleep your way to the top when you can cut and blow dry your way there?

Jessica Simpson is acting on her Texan-inspired patriotism, making her latest blonde ambition to please U.S. troops stationed in Kuwait.

And by that, I mean she is singing ...a little bit ... but mostly just providing them with some much-needed eye candy before they are deployed to Iraq.

Jessica is only one of many performers, including The PussyCat Dolls, Filter, Disturbed, Carlos Mencia, DJ Z-Trip and Metal Sanaz performing at "Operation MySpace," a 3-hour show put on for 5,000 troops. But according to myspace founder Tom Anderson, Jessica is the troops' main squeeze.

"We just wanted to do something to give back to all the troops [who use myspace to keep in contact with their families back home], and Jessica Simpson is it," Tom told The Today Show today.

As part of her desire to "entertain" the troops, Jessica has been sleeping in the barracks and eating all her meals with the troops. She even managed to detach herself from personal hairstylist/bestfriend/stand-in-boyfriend Ken Paves as part of her gaol to "significantly scale back her entourage".

Jessica Simpson officially killed the rumor that Tony Romo has dumped her when the two were spotted dining and attending a concert in Los Angeles last night, looking verrrry much together.

"Tony couldn't stop touching Jessica," an on-looker told UsMagazine. "At one point he put his finger under her chin and turned her face towards him and gave her a long kiss while holding her face in his palm." They were also spotted "eating off each other's plates" and "whispering in each others ears" in between periods of Jessica resting her head on Tony's shoulder.

The sweet/nauseating PDA continued after dinner, when the group headed to a heavy metal concert (random much?) at the key club and get this: Jessica and Tony freaking sang a duet together. Like Jessica and Nick used to do!

"He was singing directly to her - and she was on cloud nine," a witness reported of the "Don't Stop Believin" Journey classic the pair performed.

Apparently they are both off on clouds somewhere. Maybe this really does explain Tony's football f*ck-ups!

Jessica Simpson and footballer Tony Romo are supposedly finito, largely because of the flak Tony got for playing like shiznit at last week's play-off game, according to The Daily News:

"Tony is now starting to blame her himself," a pal told OK! magazine. "Before dating Jessica, he was Texas' golden boy. Now he's become a joke."

A few days after the Giants bounced the Cowboys from the playoffs, Romo called the "Dukes of Hazzard" star to tell her their romance was over.

"He said he thought it was better if they went back to being friends," a pal of hers said.

A final breaking point came when Romo told Simpson he wouldn't move to L.A. - and she responded there was no way she could leave Tinseltown.

"It was the moment he realized it wasn't going to work with Jessica in the long term," the pal told OK!.

Man, Jessica is having a hard time these days. Since divorcing Nick Lachey in '05 the "ambitious" blonde has seen nothing but heartache, chasing after one emotionally unavailable guy after the next. From Adam Levine to John Mayer and Owen Wilson, Jess has even chased after playboys Leonardo Dicaprio and Jude Law, to no avail.

Things haven't been much better in the career department. Blonde Ambition, her latest flick, is even more of a joke than the last two. After playing in just a few Texas theaters, the moviegoer turnout was so embarassingly low that the film went straight to DVD - and on Sale! And that was before Jessica messed with Texas!

Her pop music career has also fallen off, but maybe her plans to "go country" will be the road to her revival??

For the record, I won't believe that Jessica and Tony are over until their reps confirm it - Joe Simpson doesn't give up on keeping his daughter in the spotlight that easily!

*Update: Yup, as predicted, the RUMORS ARE FALSE. They are not really split (yet). TMZ reports that Jessica is "pissed" at OK! Magazine for claiming the pair have split, and her attorneys are saying the article is "utterly false." OK is lying again!

On Wednesday night, while most people were dressed up like cats or vampires or fairies, Ashley Olsen was trying on her own costume - the much-much-younger-woman getup. She was spotted in the lap of Olympic bicyclist Lance Armstrong, according to a New York Post source:

The 21-year-old twin showed up to the Rose Bar at the Gramercy Park Hotel Monday night with Tory Burch's ex, Lance Armstrong, 36. Our bar spy said, "They came together with a group of friends. Ashley drank red wine, sat on his lap and they were making out all night. They left together around 2 a.m."

Revelation: No wonder things fell apart between Lance and his most recent ex, Tory Burch - she's 41! No wonder Lance and Sheryl Crow called off their engagement! Lance isn't ready to be married and have kids - he wants to date them!

Another odd couple seen out and about this week: Owen Wilson and Jessica Simpson. The two were spotted at the Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica Sunday night, acting so romantical that onlookers told Life & Style, "It was definitely a date. They were doing their best to avoid being photographed." Before heading back to Owen's Malibu home, the date was already getting steamy, according to another source: "He couldn't keep his hands off her," a witness tells the mag. The two Texans allegedly hit it off earlier this month while visiting Austin to appear in a video with Willie Nelson, and have since been spotted together on two separate occasions.

Revelation: No wonder Nick Lachey's and Jessica's marriage fell apart! He wasn't tortured! Since divorcing the jock in 2005, all of Jessica's male interests have been the total opposite of Nick. Adam Levine, John Mayer, and now Owen Wilson - all three men with that sort of "tortured artist" edge that a co-dependent southern gal could fall for. Then again, my personal opinion is that Jessica and Owen's publicists put them up to this to get both their careers back up and running. Regardless, I'm sure Owen doesn't mind having to spend time with his new "drug"!

Finally, the real shocker: Madonna and Tupac almost had a baby together, according to Lucy O'Brien's new book "Madonna: Like an Icon." The NY Daily News reports:

O'Brien says Madonna, in her mid-30s, "desperately wanted children and had various relationships with unlikely men." The singer's friend Alison Clarkson recalls when she was briefly dating Tupac Shakur, one year before his death.

"She was going out with him ... but homegirls were saying to him, 'I can't believe you're going out with a white girl,'" - so she got dumped!

This isn't necessarily new information though. In 2004, Blender.com's list of the "33 Things You Should Know about Tupac Shakur," dedicated #27 to Tupac's "special" relationship with Madonna:

"He and Madonna were friends. maybe more than friends..."

In his tell-all biography, Got Your Back, Tupac's former bodyguard Frank Alexander suggests the two slept together: "We were watching a talk show, and they flashed a picture of [Madonna's ex-boyfriend] Carlos Leon and Madonna walking into a New York building on the screen. 'Pac said, 'You know, that used to be me.'"

Revelation: That's all Tupac's bodyguard knows? I thought guys liked to brag about these things?
