Jessica Simpson is acting on her Texan-inspired patriotism, making her latest blonde ambition to please U.S. troops stationed in Kuwait.

And by that, I mean she is singing ...a little bit ... but mostly just providing them with some much-needed eye candy before they are deployed to Iraq.

Jessica is only one of many performers, including The PussyCat Dolls, Filter, Disturbed, Carlos Mencia, DJ Z-Trip and Metal Sanaz performing at "Operation MySpace," a 3-hour show put on for 5,000 troops. But according to myspace founder Tom Anderson, Jessica is the troops' main squeeze.

"We just wanted to do something to give back to all the troops [who use myspace to keep in contact with their families back home], and Jessica Simpson is it," Tom told The Today Show today.

As part of her desire to "entertain" the troops, Jessica has been sleeping in the barracks and eating all her meals with the troops. She even managed to detach herself from personal hairstylist/bestfriend/stand-in-boyfriend Ken Paves as part of her gaol to "significantly scale back her entourage".

Today is Super Tuesday, the day that 24 American states are holding caucuses or primary elections for the Republican and Democratic parties.

If you are voting in the Republican Primary, you can choose between Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, John McCain and Alan Keyes. But basically just McCain and Romney.

If you are voting in the Democratic primary, it's between Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Mike Gravel. But basically just Barack and Hillary.

And P. Diddy really wants you to vote.

Al Gore was the co-recipient of this year's Nobel Peace Prize as a result of all his efforts to raise environmental awareness. Al has got to be thrilled to receive such an honor, although a number of people say his contribution is overrated and even call him a hypocrite for not practicing the green lifestyle he preaches.

I wonder how Hillary and Barack Obama are feeling about this, while Al-supporters Leo Dicaprio and Cameron Diaz are sure to be pleased!

But this new recognition has got people wondering - will Al decide to re-run for election?
