Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway knows how to ham it up--not just in front of the camera, but in front of mics as well. The Get Smart star was spotted belting out Journey and K.T. Tunstall tunes at a local karaoke joint on the Jersey shore earlier this week. Hathaway, who recently broke up with her boyfriend Raffaello Folleri, reportedly said to the owner, "Don't put this on YouTube." Natalie Portman has had no such requests; the actress (and vegan footwear designer) recently made her smallscreen debut in the video for psych-folk rocker Devaendra Banhart's song "Carmensita." She joins the ranks of Jennifer Lopez, Evan Rachel Wood, and Stephanie Seymour as girlfriend-turned-muse-turned-video star. Now that Portman's presidential pick (she was a Hillary Clinton supporter) is out of the race, it seems that Hollywood and fashion insiders don't quite know what to make of the remaining women. Perhaps a guest appeance by Michelle Obama and Cindy McCain on Gossip Girl is in order this fall.

Lindsay Lohan

The multitasking actor trend is showing no signs of stopping anytime soon. Just ask Lindsay Lohan, whose collection of leggings sold out in just one week. The starlet, who was spotted at Sephora's 10th anniversary party on Friday in a stripped sequined Catherine Malandrino minidress, may set the bar high for some other recently-announced celeb side projects. Rachel Bilson, whose collection for DKNY hits stores in September, is banking on her mostly black and white designs to do well this fall. Meanwhile, Sarah Jessica Parker is developing her own reality TV show for Bravo. Unlike The Rachel Zoe Project, which premieres this fall, the show has little to do with Parker; rather, it focuses on a group of contemporary artists vying for the title of American Artist (which, coincidentally, is the tentative title of the show). And because it's not just the actors who can do it all, Kate Moss has recently announced that she's partnering with a yet-to-be-named major beauty company to start her own makeup line. While we don't know how well Ms. Moss knows her color groups, lotions, and mascara technology, we're willing to give her products a try, if only to look a little bit more like the British beauty.

Project Runway Season 5

Before you can say, "Auf wiedersehen," Project Runway will be back for its fifth season. Although the latest installment of this fashion world favorite, which premieres tonight at 9 pm on Bravo, will surely have its fair share of kooky characters, fans of season four's Chris March can enjoy his snarky commentary and behind-the-scenes tips while blogging for ELLE.com. And while some PR alum have been basking in the spotlight, not all reality TV stars are finding success in the fashion world. Most recently, Lauren Conrad of The Hills was dealt a blow when LA boutique Kitson announced that they won't be carrying her clothing line any more.

In case reality TV fatigue has already set in (and ELLE's own Stylista hasn't even premiered yet!), the boob tube will be graced with several famous faces this fall. In addition to guest spots by Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan, Katie Holmes will be joining the cast of Eli Stone for a one-show guest appearance. Ms. Cruise won't just be acting--she's reportedly dancing and singing as well. Amy Poehler, meanwhile, is rumored to be in talks to join The Office spin-off. Must-see indeed! In fact, the only actress who may not be spending much more time on TV is Katherine Heigl; the actress may be killed off in the next season of Grey's Anatomy, according to Us Weekly. Working in show biz isn't just tough--it can kill you!

In response to Heigl's griping, staffers are considering giving her character, Dr. Izzie Stevens, a brain tumor. "[Producer] Shonda [Rhimes] and the writers are pissed at her," the source tells Us. "It's their way of screwing with her. She won't know whether she's going to live or die." Still, there's good news for fans sad to see Izzie suffer: newly single Jeffrey Dean Morgan will reprise his role as hunky patient Denny Duquette, whom Izzie will see in visions brought on by the tumor. And a second source thinks the story arc, ironically, may not be a bad thing for Heigl: "If her character does get a brain tumor, she'll probably get an Emmy!" A rep for ABC tells Us, "We can confirm that [Morgan] will be back, but we are not releasing any further details." The show returns September 25 with a two-hour premiere.

Angelina Jolie Twins

After months of speculation (and a few false announcements), Angelina Jolie finally gave birth to twins Knox and Vivienne on Saturday night in a hospital on the French Riviera. With the Jolie-Pitt family now up to eight, media outlets have started the guessing game anew, pointing fingers at the next celeb to welcome twins to the family. We ourselves have been feeling baby fatigue, which may have been why we loved the distraction in this weekend's Miss Universe competition. Sequined dresses, intricate updos, and the requisite Miss USA stumble all enlivened the weekend and gave us more to talk about then just what the French Mayor said to welcome the future Hollywood stars. Chrystle Stewart of Texas, who represented the United States at the annual competition, could learn a thing or two from Rihanna; the singer-turned-fashion icon has not only stayed upright onstage while teetering on six-inch heels, but has landed the spot as the face of Gucci's new UNICEF campaign. The 20-year-old will be selling special-edition products from the "Tattoo Heart" collection (with 25-percent of sales donated to the children's organization) in what will surely be provocative poses.

Estee Lauder Sensuous at Bloomingdales

Taking a page from the bevy of male superheroes invading movie theaters this summer, Estee Lauder tapped a fearsome foursome to be the face of its new fragrance, Sensuous. Gwyneth Paltrow (no stranger to the superhero genre), Elizabeth Hurley, Carolyn Murphy, and Hilary Rhoda stormed Gotham yesterday, taking over Wall Street before sending women screaming at Bloomingdales' flagship store in Midtown. The quartet signed bottles of the perfume during their only in-store appearance, leaving attendees breathless — one went so far as to say, "I wanted to kill myself because they were so beautiful." Thankfully, attendees were bathed in amber wood, not blood, but there was a case of fashion inciting violence earlier this week. The victim, recovering from a wound to the hand caused by a stilleto stabbing, could find solace at Isla Moda, where Karl Lagerfeld is designing limited edition homes on this Dubaian archipelago.
